Case study : Overcoming the challenges of excessive temperatures
Find out more about a case study focusing on evaporative cooling, an ecological and economical alternative to air conditioning.
The study focuses on an 18,000 m² industrial building in Tournon-sur-Rhône, Ardèche. The site, which specializes in the manufacture of leisure vehicles such as caravans and motor homes, is Europe’s largest production unit, with 13,000 vehicles assembled every year.
The customer was experiencing excessive heat which was affecting productivity and threatening to shut down the production line. Previous solutions were either too costly or unsuitable. In addition, the constant flow of goods meant that doors had to be kept open, making it impossible to install a conventional air-conditioning system.
The evaporative cooling solution, tailored to the constraints of the building, enabled a pleasant temperature to be maintained, improving productivity and employee well-being while avoiding high costs.
