A building unique in Europe
Inaugurated in 2023 at the Luynes (37) site, Le Labo is a truly exceptional facility dedicated to natural energy management, designed to test the solutions of the Bluetek, Souchier-Boullet and Tellier Brise-Soleil subsidiaries in real-life conditions.
A tailor-made tool for all tests
With a surface area of 500m² and equipped with state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation, Le Labo has sufficient volume and height to be representative of business premises. The building has been designed to facilitate day-to-day testing. The two interior spaces are divided by a removable partition to accommodate larger-scale measurements as required. The facades and roof are also modular, offering great flexibility.
The aim is to test different solutions and combinations of solutions from the Group in terms of natural ventilation, façade and/or roof shading, daylighting, control and evaporative cooling, and to assess their impact on visual and thermal comfort and energy savings. The tests also enable us to identify and analyze areas for improvement, with a view to developing the products of the future.
A dedicated team
In addition to state-of-the-art digital tools, Le Labo is managed by a technical team of specialized engineers, backed up by the presence of PhD students, in charge of programming, setting up and collecting the results of experiments carried out. True specialists in energy management, they carry out over 200 climate studies each year, recommending Genatis solutions to guarantee occupant comfort while reducing energy consumption.
The technical team is also able to recalibrate simulations by comparing them with measurements carried out in the laboratory.
Le Labo is also involved in several research programs in collaboration with recognized organizations (Ademe, CSTB, CEA).
