Renovation of a young workers hostel into a multimedia library
The redevelopment of the former young workers’ hostel is a key element in the urban renewal of the Monplaisir district. The project includes the installation of a library, an educational center for leisure and play, and office space on five levels. The aim is to create a high-quality working environment with exemplary environmental performance, while respecting the structure and constraints of the existing building.
Sunshades to control solar gain
The installation of AZUR fixed sunshade reduced direct solar radiation by 60% in summer, while preserving over 70% of natural light and solar gain in winter. Combined with an adiabatic cooling system, these solutions ensure a comfortable indoor climate in summer without the need for air conditioning.
The façade is equipped with the following Tellier Brise-Soleil products:
- AZUR AS200x50 fixed sunshade with 35° inclined blades
- AZUR AS200x36 manually adjustable sunshade
Finishes are powder-coated in RAL9016 satin finish.
